Nala is new to swimming.

As important as keeping her back and head out of the water usually is, occasionally she just has to duck her head in and chomp at the water.

Yeah, Nala seems to enjoy it–although she is very picky about where she swims! I hope she gets as good at it as Phoenix!

Hi Nala
Swimming is our favourite activity so we know one day you will learn to love it 🙂 Milo & Jet

Barley is not a swimmer, but like Nala, she has to chomp some water sometimes! She’ll stand at the end of the lake and then charge and chomp and look confused about why she doesn’t actually have a hold of anything even though she gave it her best chomp and then she’ll quickly run away from the water again. I love it. Such fun pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Oh my gosh, that sounds adorable!
Nala used to be strictly a wader and a chomper. I think chomping is a gateway behavior to swimming. 😀

Looks like she’s really gotten the hang of it. Hope she enjoyed herself.

Yup! Despite her serious face, this was all her idea and she kept getting back in!
